In person 2 hour workshop at Rise Academy, Macclesfield

Qi - ( pronounced chee) is our energy, it's a subtle, vital force that flows through all living beings not visible but felt through vitality, emotion and presence.

When our Qi is balanced and moving freely, we can feel healthy, vibrant, and at ease. When its flow becomes disrupted, this may show up as fatigue, tension, or a sense of imbalance within the body.

Everything we do thinking, moving, healing, feeling requires energy. Yet it is not only about how much energy we have, but how smoothly it flows.
Qi Gong is a somatic movement practice that invites us to cultivate awareness of this inner flow of energy and strengthen the connection between body and mind, helping us feel more alive, grounded, and balanced.

Combining the flowing movements of Qi Gong, breathwork, the grounding and energising techniques of self-massage focusing on acupressure points and the deep replenishment of intentional rest through Yin Yoga and Nidra, this workshop will support your nervous system and reconnect you with your body's wisdom.

Guided by the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine, we begin with a dynamic, seasonally inspired Qi Gong practice, tuning into the energetic qualities of the current time of year. We will explore specific acupressure points to support balance and vitality, before moving into spacious stillness through Yin Yoga and Nidra, allowing time for integration and restoration.

My approach to teaching Qi Gong is shaped by my love of music and my Shake the Dust training. Each session is held within a carefully curated soundscape. Music helps us drop into the body and move with our own natural rhythm of energy. As we flow, the soundscape gently guides our tempo, openness, and expression, allowing the practice to feel fluid, embodied, and creative.
