Hi, I’m Lou.
Qi Gong, TCM & Somatic Movement Teacher.
I support people to return to the body through Qi Gong, Traditional Chinese Medicine, somatic movement, rhythm and rest.
My experience of burnout which lead to illness and chronic fatigue revealed just how much we can disconnect from our bodies in the rush of modern life. Through movement, somatic awareness, and Traditional Chinese Medicine practices, I discovered a deep, restorative way to return to myself, a path that now shapes my daily life and how I now support others in finding presence, grounding, and ease.
The body already holds so much wisdom. My work is to help you find your way back to it.
Through movement, energy awareness and rest, I guide people back into relationship with their bodies supporting them to reduce stress, restore flow and trust the wisdom already within them.
“Connecting to our bodies and tuning into our energy is one of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves.”
My own return to the body.
In 2022 I experienced a complete and exhausting burnout that led to chronic fatigue and other debilitating symptoms. I had been running on empty for so long that my body eventually made the decision for me and stopped.
What followed was a long, gradual recovery. And it was during that time that I discovered the transformative power of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Qi Gong and somatic movement. Through acupuncture, breathwork, gentle movement and energy practices, I found a way back to myself that I hadn't known existed.
These practices didn't just help me recover. They changed the way I understood my body entirely and how it holds experience, how energy moves through it, how much wisdom it contains when we slow down enough to listen.
The Body in Flow
These practices became the foundation of my healing journey and, over time, the foundation of the way I teach.
After a long and gradual recovery, I completed over 400 hours of training in Qi Gong and Traditional Chinese Medicine, alongside further studies in Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Reiki and Shake the Dust, an embodied somatic movement practice for release, regulation and resilience.
Together, these trainings now shape my integrated approach: The Body in Flow.
The Body in Flow brings together Qi Gong, Traditional Chinese Medicine, somatic movement, rhythm and rest to help people reconnect with the body, restore flow and come alive from the inside out.
Meeting you exactly where you are.
My teaching is deeply influenced by my love of music.
Every session unfolds within a thoughtfully curated soundscape, so music becomes an active part of the practice guiding us into the body, supporting natural rhythm and creating space for authentic expression.
As we move, the sound carries us. It gently shapes our tempo, invites openness or grounding as needed, and allows movement to emerge organically and intuitively.
I teach Qi Gong as a living practice: one that honours ancient wisdom while remaining relevant and accessible for modern life. Rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine principles, my sessions are brought to life through breath, awareness and connection to the body’s natural intelligence.
My role is to guide and hold space for people to reconnect with their inner vitality and subtle energy. Through gentle movement, rhythm, breath and focused intention, we cultivate awareness of Qi and support the body to move towards more flow, ease and balance.
Every session is inclusive and adaptable meeting each person where they are and honouring that every body holds its own unique expression of energy and movement.

“When I truly connected to my body through somatic practice, I felt freedom in my body again.”
Somatic practice and energy work taught me that freedom is not only an idea of the mind, but a lived experience of the body.
At the heart of my work is a simple belief: when we reconnect with the body, we reconnect with the energy, wisdom and aliveness already within us.
